Although this recording was actually made and released in 1961, it didn't become a hit until 1962 when some disc jockeys decided to flip the record over and begin playing the "B-side" of Ketty's release of "I'm A Fool To Want You". It's not the first time a "B-side" like "Love Letters" became the hit side, but it was very fortuitous for Ketty since she would never have another recording with the impact of this one. Ketty's "Love Letters" is a reworking of the 1945 hit by Dick Haymes, and it went all the way to #5 in March of 1962.
Being at a party I lost this record. But I found it here again after50 years. This record and the A side ( this is the B side) are beautiful as at the first day I heard them.

Thanks for this music. Was a teenager when I heard it for the first time on Radio Luxemburg (I'm from Belgium). It brings up memories.

When I was 16 and in love, this was one of my favorites..This lady had such a pure tone in her voice, you couldn't do anything but become mesmerized. I'm 62 now, and it still sounds good..and, I married that first love, now deceased. This song keeps the memories alive..Thank you Ketty!!

My stepmother is in the hospital dying of cancer. While going through her papers at her home, I found an old love letter from my dad,who died 10 years ago, to her. It spoke of his loneliness when he wasn't with her, and of his love. It brought tears to me reading it. Now, I'm planning her funeral, and this song will be the last song of that funeral Mass. They both would have loved it.
