WARNING: Please don't do this without the proper safety equipment. I was young(er) and stupid(er) when I made this video. Always read all warning labels and observe correct scientific procedure.

Acetone breaks the structure of polystyrene in its expanded form, styrofoam. The 'foam' bit goes away. Effect: acetone seemingly "dissolves" polystyrene. Also see the video "Pressured Styrofoam" which shows how much of styrofoam is really air.

  • you should've worn acid resistant gloves and goggles the least

  • i try it my self, melted my gloves with acetone

    read description warnings

    and finally am only 12 , its total safe!
