@boral108 Don't know if anyone ever got back to you, but strings can be purchased at mid-east's website, or on ebay... also raj musicals has gut strings for sale, so there are many places to get strings for sarangi...
The instrument uses gut strings (for the main playing strings), meaning that it is made out of the intestine of goat or lamb (I can never remember which). For the sympathetic strings (the remaining 30 or so strings) these are either steel or brass strings respectively.

Hi,
Where do you buy strings for the instrument?
What kind of strings are they?
-
are you italian? if so what attracted you most to this instrument? how do you compare it to the violin?
Cheers
Is this a "left handed" Sarangi? Or is it simply the video image mirrored?

What instruments do you play? how long have you been at the sarangi for? Where is sarangi from? Thanks

the instrument is called SARANGI.. it comes from india, and usually played solo or along with tablas. You play only 3 strings and the remaining 36 resonate creating a kind of natural reverb effect. I just started with approaching the tuning and the sound production..have a look at Ram Narayan or Ustad Sabri Khan videos to get a better picture..thks

Well, I bought it in Italy (near Venice) but surely it comes from India. I don't have more information than that.
