One great middle and one near great middle. Nino was a very good fighter in his prime. Monzon imo is hands down top 5 middle.

Although he was losing he was not finished. He didn't get punched down the 2nd time he got pushed down.They should not have thrown in the towel he could have adjusted and changed the tide.

People don't realize that Benvenuti was past his prime there: he was about to end his long-time career, and had something like 80 professional bouts in his record. He was a washed-up, tired fighter against a young and angry upcoming star. Make this very same fight about 5 years earlier and things wouldn't have gone the same. :-)
