Islamic Sufism teaches that every man has a spark of the Divine in him and it is man's duty to cultivate that spark. This is all 5%ers are trying to do, though in my opinion a bit of a misguided way. However your equating this movement to German philosophy shows a lack of understanding of history itself. Such movements are as old as time.
