Happy birthday Maestro! 80 today!

@fermie125 Wow. Didn't know that. And agree, Jerry Springer is the intelligent person's James Horner. But, this is just something from another dimension; moving beyond words. Which is odd, since Williams seems worringly to be phoning it in, these days. A lot of things seem to suck since 1980. Maybe they're rich and just don't care... Maybe the productions they're being hired by aren't worth it.

I heard about there being a funeral scene in the Superman reboot- I just hope they are not indicating that Jonathan Kent is going to die in that one as well because Kevin Costner does not look old enough to play an elderly man who has reached his time. Also, I think an updated origin story should keep both of Clark Kent's adoptive parents alive as that was how it was done in the modern stories. I at least always liked it better that way. Neither one of them died on "Lois & Clark" with Dean Cain.

i get goosebumps when i hear it it its so good
@fermie125 Actually, in 1978 it Midnight Express that won. Regardless, it should have been Superman. This movie has the best score in movie history.

Can you believe 'The Omen' won best original score in the 1978 Academy Awards?? I'm not knocking my man Jerry Goldsmith, but what a FAIL by the Academy Awards! You want proof that the Academy Awards screwed up?? How does 'The Omen's soundtrack hold up to John Williams timeless soundtrack 32 years later?
