Fox2 Detroit interviews Brian O'Neal while he is on a 48 hour mission to learn from and help the homeless in Detroit. For more info see www.dofoundation.net
I'm impressed when someone walks the walk - and it just so happens that this person is an acquaintance and I am reminded that there aren't many people like him. Important work you're doing Brian - keep it up!
wow...And I dont say that lightly..wow..That is really something..now I'm just more intrigued... Did anyone-your friends/family or any of the local "regulars" know about this? Have you been able to talk directly TO homeless folks in your community? Community leaders? Churches? You know, most DO want to do something/help...just a matter of gettin folks on the same page-correlation of needs and resources..Beautiful how youre breaking stereotypes..This is very exciting work youre doing..You rock!
Thank you Brian... That's right... People really aren't motivated to really DO SOMETHING until they actually experience the situation first hand themselves.... It's like Jesus, who came from a comfortable place... when He really didn't have to do it... to experience what we go through in order for Him to fix the situation... May He bless you tremendously!!!!
This goes beyond what the average person would do to really relate to the pain of another. This is admirable to say the least.
