@fightcobra Not true. This theme and the opening title for Home Alone are almost identical. It is obvious that Williams recycled a lot of that material for Harry Potter. But composers often self-borrow, and why wouldn't he? It's much easier to write something "new" by rearranging old ideas than to come up with something completely new altogether!

@GGbreizh very true. he very often uses celesta (like in Imperial march), but this song is the first time that he makes the celesta a leading instrument

John Williams often use the celesta (Star Wars, concertos...) But the celesta is playing with orchestra that's why we don't hear it clearly.

@c3po402 then what's the point of winning awards for music if all he does it conducts them. they should rename the acadamy awards best original score for the acadamy awards best original score performed by conductor. i'm pretty sure when a film credits it's soundtrack to j.w. it means he composed AND conducted them.
