WARNING - CONTAINS ADULT THEMES. VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED. Acclaimed full length documentary retracing the infamous Pendle Witch Trials of Lancashire, using lavish reconstructions, historical perspectives and paranormal investigation. This production made newspaper headlines around the world when filming was sensationally shut down when several crew members suffered repeated psychic attacks and possession during a seance in a haunted barn on Pendle Hill. Presented by acclaimed television historian Simon Entwistle, himself an expert in the Pendle legends, and award winning broadcaster Roy Basnett, Produced by Stephen Greenhalgh. Produced and Directed by Mark Howard. A Paranormal Film Unit production for GCH Entertainment, 2009, in association with Northern Misfits. Available on DVD
I wanted to enjoy this, but the totally OTT Roy Basnett getting angry at the spirit was ridiculous.

I love shows like this but the historical data was a mess. Jennet Device who the show portrayed as a young woman was actually 9 years old in 1612 and was the prosecutors key witness in the witch trial that year. She accused her own mother and brother and 10 others in court of witchcraft.10 were hung,1 died in prison,1 was let go.That trial set the precedence for allowing children under 14 to testify in the 1692 Salem Witch Trials. This is a very important fact, I can't believe they left it out.

You should have gone to Lower Well Head or Tynedale Farm........I know it's about breaking new ground but doors opening and closing in a barn, during a windy night isn't proof that paranormal activity is apparant........
