@FFM0594 Good comment, I had a hi-fi in a teak effect cabinet with a smoked glass door, but I loved it, I thought it was the bee kneecaps 25 years ago.

Yeah, yeah, the good old days.. when the stereos were shite and you could hardly afford a record anyway.I spent my first 6 months wages on a stereo which was considered great back then but which I laugh at these days (yes,it is still going strong at my mothers house, and she still thinks it's High-End)

I probably heard this song at least once but the song I heard at least 3 times on the radio was "Ten feet tall." I managed to get "Skylarking" after "Oranges and Lemons" which was the ultimate hook for me and then the following releases, and and managed to find a few that preceded skylarking.

Oh yeah, because there weren't fakes and wannabees around when XTC were popular....
Real music is still out there, just go find it and ignore the shit they pump down our throat.
Why is it that on any old music video there's always a comment from people who think that good music died back last century? It's just laziness - we have the internet and there are some amazing bands out there. Just don't expect them to turn up as much on mainstream tv or radio these days.
