@nibler911 the economic occupation of Iraq will never be over. not while there is OIL left to be sucked out of the ground. the US is not actually 'leaving' Iraq; but merely replacing active duty service members with an Army of 18,000 State Department/CIA personnel + armies of mercenaries to protect them in their three embassies; Baghdad being the largest in the world.

im a capitalist and a ron paul supporter and i also have such respect for this guy. how he has the courage to call out the war mongers but also in not bein blind like many on the net in just supportin obama just because hes a democrat. i think jon pilger knows this is way beyond a two party paradigm, coz they both do the same!

The USA will only become a true democracy when it has more than two parties. Most republics that are democracies have more than two parties. Both the democrats and republicans are corrupted by big money. Proportional representation and public financing of elections are vital to ending USA as an empire, returning it to a republic as an equal in the world's family of nations.

Pilger's speech in this video was given in 2009. Although he does not give details but says mass movements by and of the common people and students are going to occur. Thus, He is prophetic about the the Arab Spring and the Occupy and 99% movements.
