First off, thanks for posting the video.
I'm extremely jealous of all you guys right now. Anyone actually trying to use this for Revit or Navisworks? Just anything 3D. I'm trying to figure out what's the best laptop for those programs specifically. I checked it out and even seems like Autodesk is sponsoring it, but still I want to know my options....
BTW- I just need to know @firebirdcrazygrrl - why was this your first laptop?

Mine just shipped out earlier today, can't waiiiiiiiiiiiit

oh snap its sandman XD

@tmacfan4321 Thanks. I figured it was supposed to stay on even when off. (Kind of like sleep mode.) I've got a lot to learn about notebook computers.

I got it all. Sorry for so many questions. One last question I promised - Is it safe to use barnes and noble gold account ? Thanks btw for putting up the link.

the link says my session is expired. Is there any way I can find new session link? Would appreciate. Thanks.
thanks for the vid. question: have you tried connecting it to an external monitor? do you know what the maximum resolution is that it can support? thanks.

@ZergHorde I have connected it to my TV (1920x1080) with a DP to HDMI adapter. I couldn't tell you what the maximum resolution is, but if you look up the specs for the Quadro 1000M or 2000M (whichever one you are looking at getting) they should state the max resolution for either card. I know that the computer can support two displays at 1920x1080 as I have done it myself (external monitor + laptop display at the same time).

Thanks for this video. I just got my W520 a week ago. The computer works great, but it's my first laptop so I'm a newbie. My W520 has a fingerprint reader and I noticed that the LED stays on even when the PC is off and the lid is shut. I also noticed that when the PC is off, if you lift it up and listen to the bottom, it makes a very soft noise for a few seconds and then goes silent, then repeats every few seconds. It seems to never turn off 100%. Is this normal? Does yours do it? Thanks.

@firebirdcrazygrrrl Yeah, the fingerprint reader stays on even when the laptop is off so that you can start it up by swiping your finger. I've never noticed the buzzing noise; I wouldn't be too worried about that though.

How long did it take for the laptop to arrive from the day you ordered it? I ordered my W520 4 days ago and I still don't have a shipping date estimate.

@FlightSimTutorials I got mine eight days after I ordered it. YMMV.
