i think thats a good mindset to have. but the avg american also says these things, then when they start making big money, get convienent amnesia and start spending big (see americans going into further debt taking equity out of homes to spend more)
ohh forgot to mention, i seen a white multibollionaire on tv showing off his 1 1/2 billion dollar yact, like 20 some workers in it the whole time. said he wanted the biggest in the world. he has another yact worth 1/2 billion. stuff like that just sickens me.
no doubt he can have fun and enjoy his success, but im just saying i guess things that i would think about b4 making a laviss purchase. my mindset would be well i could spend 350k on mink interior, or i could but a few thousand game boy ds's, with learning games used with a stylus, and go through the hospitol and give them to children. thoes things would make me much happier in life than most lavish purchases. i love to help people esp children, can't wait til im in that position. thanks again
i agree people of all races dont give back enough. so do, for example kurt werner gives an extreme amount, back to the st louis community. i think this march was great, and i hope it spreads, i compare this to what obama's speech was talking about, that jackson said, he was talking down to the black man. i cant wait til everyone feels=! my mom is discraminated againg getting alot of jobs, because she is 58.her work record is impeckable. there is discrimation in alot of areas.thanks 4 ur response
he does help. which is why he started a foundation based in the city. u have to also understand that he has other businesses, which are illiquid investments and must have capital on hand to support those, plus his lifestyle. he has every right to buy "toys" that he wants too. he worked hard for his success. as long as there is a balance he is fine. I'm not saying $50mm to chartiy, $50mmm for himself. no human gives away that much money except the 2 richest in the world, buffett and gates.
i agree 100% im not just saying black people in general, yes many many many whites do as well. the reason i mentioned nelly in this case, is i don't understand how he sleeps spending that many hundred thousand on mink interior in 1 car. if i was in that position, i would weigh my choices and say 2 myself, well i can have mink interior, or i could start a community center,or help my fellow neighbors in st louis. just an example, hope im in a position someday soon when i heal to be in that position
gotta defend nelly here. i dont advocate lavish spending. lets not forget that he does have a foundation and gives back in his own special way. u cannot mandate that he gives a certain % of his net worth just cuz u know how many millions he has. what about all the other millionairs of other races who give back barely if at all? it can be $1m or $100mm, but people across all races dont give back enough. if u went into the homes of some rich corporate execs, u would see they have more than nelly.
1st comment didnt take 4 some reason? basically said, how impressed i was to see this march on local tv, and im white, but would have been there myself, along with my brothers, if i wasn't disabled, and able. the people who rallied this march, i applaude. keep up the great work, and spread the great word of peace and understanding. many community centers are needed! lets give children everywhere a chance to create dreams, and give them a goal to work on. i hope this march spreads nationwide. :)
