Hollywood & Western - "No-Man's Land!"

I walked the Hollywood & Western Station with reps from the CRA, the LAPD and the LASD.

The escalators were out of order, the emergency intercom was out of order, the trash was overflowing, the smell of human waste was ripe, the maintenance crew had done basic work to remove the debris from the overnight guests but the confusion over responsibility was clear.

The LAPD Sgt. drew one line, the SLO arrived and drew another, the CRA had a third opinion and the Property Manager failed to weigh in.

At least all agreed that there was a problem.

I spoke to the LAPD Capt. for Hollywood, I emailed County Supervisor Zev, Metro CEO Art Leahy, and Borja Leon of the Mayor's office.

Let's see if any of them read City Watch LA!

There is no shame in this town. The bureaucrats responsible for this untidy station couldn't care less about us, the peasants. There is a lot to praise about Metro, but this is shameful.

LOL, haven't been on Hollywood Blvd since the late '80's, it was pretty seedy then to but it was interesting. Now it looks like fun left town and the garbage multiplied.

It's like that all over America, including here in San Diego. Legislate everything until it's illegal to smoke a cigarette on the sidewalk. "keep us safe!" we want a gentrified neighbood with all in bed by 10pm, pay their taxes and call the cops on neighbors.

Fuck this. Just Fuck it.

Good job. It looks like we have to embarrass the powers that be with True Video before something is done with a particular problem. We had done something diagonally across the street with true video to get a big corporation to act in maintaining the quality of life for the long time residents on Hollywood & Western.
