I've been on the Oosterdam 2 times. going again this may. last time I was on it in May 2011 the ship was horrid and worn out, like broken furniture in our cabin ick.

@Ourumov66 the Oosterdam and HAL in general us better because its mainly older people so you dont get all the god damn young drunken ass holes and kids like on Princess. and im freaking 20 years old and hate that. I prefer old people!

Iv been on the Oosterdam before and the Princess ship followed us. And yes I remember that horn, it blew about 30 times our final night from Victoria, BC to Seattle.

i just took a Mediterranean cruise on the oosterdam and the crew was the friendliest crew in the world of cruises. The only problem was that everything closed really early

Excellent, 5 Star all the way! We sailed on the Noordam last year out of Rome and will be on the Oosterdam this July sailing out of Venice.

I was actually on the Golden Princess (Princess Cruises) and have not been on Holland America yet. I have heard some very positive reviews about them... If anything I suggest you give them a try... I doubt you'd be disappointed!
