This is a memorial to Saint James Church in Lakewood , Ohio.
Saint James was closed in June as a plan by Bishop Lennon to restructure or downsize the diocese to meet the economic needs of the Catholic faith. Saint James was not an institution but a family of God whose faith was embedded in the foundation of the marble pillars of this historical structure. This is for the families of today, yesterday and for all of eternity to come. Whose lives have been a part of this family.
That is an absolutely beautiful church and I can understand why you would love and miss it, no matter what happens though remember that God is not in a building, that he is everywhere . Good luck

I know there must be 100 family photo collections like this one where St. James is the centerpiece of many generations. Thank you Paul Wunderle for reminding us to celebrate the amazing treasure that we had. Also, you reminded us that we should never give up and to continue the fight to bring St. James back to our community. Every church window....the statuary etc....was given by the families that made up our Parish. All this was accomplished even during the Great Depression.
