I cant close my account. "The account cannot be closed because the withdrawal amount is lesser than the original credit fee amount." That pops up every time I try to close it.

Hi there. Yeah, there was a pretty big write-up the other day in lifehacker site about 'why you should ditch paypal...' Maybe they threw some glitches into the system to make sure no one could close their accounts? We've seen that sort of thing happen too many times now to not suspect something untoward. Comments are right here from others to the same effect.

Contact your bank & CC co to make sure PP can't deduct from your accounts before some other 'glitch' cleans you out

I did close my Paypal account the first day I heard about them closing Wikileaks' account. If anyone cares about free speech, not in some far away foreign country but right here, the attacks on Wikileaks are the biggest story of the century, in more ways than one. It is a real war of information, and if the censors win, it will cast a shadow stretching into the future for no one knows how long.

@anarchris LOL after ebay got hacked and all those credit card numbers posted they mysteriously had their account closing procedure not work either. It's a cheap trick. They are twitching.

They got caught in a world class lie about why they froze the funds and just caved in!
