  • Bob Seger's songs are like stories he tells you while you take a trip with him, and for just a few fleeting minutes you get to visit those far off places in his soul that have given us such great timeless music. Seger is a world apart from the current vain and talentless hacks that call themselves musicians, when gone we will have lost an artist whose grace and depth of talent gave many of us the soundtracks of our lives, gave us that when listened to now gives the past clarity and brilliance.

  • My favorite song of all-time. It covers so much ground and is applicable to any choice or dilemma we face. It fits any mood, any time, anywhere. Too bad this song wasn't a bit longer, as it feels just a little too short. And that's because it RULES!!! Thank you, Bob.

  • BEEN THERE???

  • I love Seger, all his songs as he feels what he sings, as we feel it when we hear them. This song, no matter what I'm doing, I have to just stop, close my eyes and listen to the beginning, it's that good. I have it on cd, but not on my pc, so thank you for posting it!! :)

  • one of the best underrated songs of alltime,it deserved more attention.both lyrics and music are wonderful.

  • I used to hear this on the radio ages ago. But recently the song is, well, in no man's land, I guess. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who loves this great but sadly ignored song.

  • This is one of those songs that I am so glad to have unintentionally stumbled upon!

  • Sanctuary never comes, without some kind of risk. This song is as good as it gets.

  • That's Bob Seger doing the guitar solo at the end. Cool!

  • Who can take you back to those carefree high school days better than Bob Seger? In the days before mortgages, work, kids,....to those summer nights having a few beers with your friends, talking about everything and nothing. His was the background music of a time you'll always remember and occasionally pine for....'strange how the night moves, when you just (didn't) seem to have as much to lose...'

  • There's NOONE on this planet like Bob Seger!!!!!!

  • @janwalsh1000 Yes that was the one with Mathew McConaughey in it, Well we all have our favorites and yours is definitely worth listening to. Have a nice week
