Remember, Jim Brown got his yardage in nine yrs., Gale Sayers was in the HOF after six yrs of playing, his offensive line couldn't keep up w him. Look at the videos, I still get goose bumps watching Sayers run. Yes, I know, Payton got his yards the hard way, without an offensive line. You only know the current poplar athlete w/o knowing the older gladiators. I did not mean to forget Barry Sanders, sorry.
