@epsleon i disagree with you,the whole premise of the show is that these people might be criminals and a bit nasty but thats ok because they're working class and salt of the earth really-just a bit rough around the edges.its a very dated idea that equates different classes with specific values .its mostly educated liberals that went on and on how amazing this show was when it first came out because the wanted to be seen as dowin with the people and 'in touch' with how 'real people ' are

The show is a dramatized version of lives on a council estate (it bears similarities to the area I live in, as it does for a lot of people, I guess). It doesn't claim that it is right to behave like they do, it's just for entertainment purposes.

It shows the lives of the (fictional) people that believe their way of life is ok. If you want the other viewpoints, go watch "The Bill".

My comment suggested that it was highly likely that they have experienced " the real life characters they portry steal from them or cause them life threatening injury".

Whether you agree with it or not, the show does reflect the lives of some people (explain shit like Jeremy Kyle if it doesn't). If you don't like it, simply don't watch it.
