As an old school democrat, I can totally empathize with Dr. Paul's sentiment that these pranksters have no idea what it means to be a Republican.
It's a shame that "Republican" has become a bad word in my circle... It shouldn't be.
Most Americans are unaware that Republicans and Democrats are actually just factions of the same party, historically speaking.
