  • @TheWizardOfOsborne They've never won a Zooper Bowl.

  • Willie Lanier was a very very good player, but I still think that Bobby Bell was better. Still both truly amazing talents.

  • @TheWizardOfOsborne the game itself was played in 1970 but it was for the 1969 season

  • @cityhawk I'm pretty sure there wasn't a super bowl in 69, only an NFL championship. SB IV was in 1970

  • @TheWizardOfOsborne Super Bowl IV? No, the Vikings lost to the Chiefs and was manhandled too. A signature of Bud Grant's Super Bowl teams. Overmatched on every facet of the game.

  • @cityhawk didn't the vikes win the 69 championship?

  • The thing about the 1969 Chiefs was that they went up against a conservative and uncreative Vikings team. With the likes of great athletes such as Willie Lanier and Otis Taylor, the Vikings three yards and a cloud of dust offense wasn't going to work. The Chief defense manhandled a Vikings team that had no business being there no matter what the record said. Stram knew how to make the adjustments, Grant didn't have a clue. Big, glaring differences.

  • You can have your steel curtain, your 85 bears,or whoever ,but the 69 chiefs big red forrest stacked up to all of them.

  • @Unleashed63 Wrong!! Garland Boyette preceeded Lanier by 1 season in 1967. Boyette played with the Houston Oilers, came out of Grambling University. So, Boyette was the first black man to play the position of middle linebacker.
