  • If you watch the video, he takes 5 steps after catching the ball...isn't that a travel?

  • he takes a really quick dribble right after the first two, then he does a hop step.

  • the intensity that produced the dunk, produced the taunt. Live with it.

  • didn't the assist man travel too?

  • oh blah blah who cares if he taunts awesome dunk just enjoy:)

  • where's the technical for taunting??? I would have T'ed him up

  • @jrhandyman

i been dunking since i was in the 8th grade. and i'm 33 now. if i post a vid of me dunking will you drop that franklin in my paypal?

  • Shocked he didn't get a Tech for taunting with the staredown. Sick dunk tho

  • Nice excuse, all worked out for any player who taunts. Works with Tiger Woods and others in golf, various tennis players, etc., too. As if today's players were "more intense" or "more competitive" than guys like Russell, Erving, et al.

It's classless behavior however you want to make excuses for it, and it's too bad the standard allows for it now. You can be unbelievably intense and still show self-restraint. Too bad. Still a good dunk, but it'd be nice to see him buck the trend.

  • ChiNig--

Already answered. Just have to agree to disagree. I'm not disrespecting, and he's an unbelievable leaper (def. worth a look at his other vids), I'm just saying this one isn't quite top-shelf, for reasons cited in two previous posts. Gotta be something more to getting in the top-top group than jumping into/partially over a stationary guy on a fast break, with no preceding move of any distinction and nobody doing anything to play any real defense on him.

  • not to take away from this play because its obviously a great show of athleticism but when the defender isnt even contesting the shot its hard to say it was all that. now if the defender goes up against him right there can he still finish with that type of power and explosiveness.

  • There is no restricted area in college, so a no call was the right call. the defender was planted and easily coulda got the call.
