Torte reform first! The victims in our system are the healthcare providers. We send our children to Law school instead of Med school. What other profession can they become so rich so fast for so little work? This is the only thing that will increase the quality and availability of health services. The first thing to tackle is where punitive damages go. Right now it goes to the lawyer and injured party. This is money neither has earned or deserves. This is money better spent on the uninsured.
I like what Bill Maher said about the profit motive that drives our economy. He compared it the sex drive, which perpetuates the species, and is therefore a good thing, but "there are some people that you're not supposed to fuck."

wait a second - if Obama goes on TV to suggest that, then half of the people will block their children from watching it - isn't physical fitness just a quick on ramp to socialism? :-)
yes, we are the government! it is a shame that we have allowed these anti-social parasites to take it over. increase taxes on the rich, and prohibit corporate financing of candidates.
