aka Wild Weed
"The Film That's Scorchin' The Nation's Screens!"The She who Shoulda Said 'No'! is honeypot LILA LEEDS (Lady in the Lake, Moonrise) who was busted for doing doobies with rugged Robert Mitchum just months before this updated upgrade of Reefer Madness. Cashing in on the notoriety of "The Screen's Newest Blonde Bomb," KROGER BABB, "America's Fearless Showman," promoted the film as "The Story of Lila Leeds and Her Expose of the Marijuana Racket!" (She's even costumed in the same suit she wore when she was sentenced with Mitchum!) Ads posed the question: "How Bad Can a Good Girl Get Without Losing her Virtue and Self Respect?" We get the answer in a heartbeat when the Monroesque starlet takes a job as a nightclub dancer to put her deserving younger brother through college. Targeted for corruption by a silky tongued pot pusher, Leeds is lured into a downward spiral of degradation culminating in her brother's suicide when he learns what sis has been up to. In scenes reminiscent of The Snake Pit, Lila cools her pretty heels in the slammer where she learns how "tea" or "tomatoes" lead to madness and, eventually, the morgue. - Something Weird

  • Kroger Babb, Exploitation King, America's Fearless Showman, inspired both Anton Szandor Lavey and John Waters.

  • Well that was just one big ole tease!

  • It's like a sequel to Reefer Madness.
