    Kasey,

    Your board looks like a windsurfer with the tail cut off. I am trying to teach myself to kiteboard and was wondering whether I could use my big windsurfer to get me up early in lighter winds. What do you think?  I am trying to "fast t(r)ack" the learning process (pun intended). Nice tack.

    That board may look like a windsurfing board, but it's actually totally different. You'll have the best learning experience if you stick to proven gear (like a large beginner-oriented twin tip) instead of trying to build your own gear.
