What we are witnessing, thanks in large part to zero tolerance policies that were intended to make schools safer by discouraging the use of actual drugs and weapons by students, is the criminalization of childish behavior. In fact, as John Whitehead points out in this week's vodcast, things have gotten so bad that it doesn't take much at all to raise the ire of school officials.

  • This is about breaking the will of the child early on, to prepare them for an obedient life in either the serving industry or the military (ironically enough).

Great video thank you and well worth the Subscription.

I would urge other youtubers to look into John Taylor Gatto and his books to open your eyes about the 'purposeful' structure of the educational system to remove classical educational teachings such as "critical thinking" and replace it with an "unflinching respect for authority".

  • Zero intelligece policy; zero rationality policy; zero ability to distiguish between real and imagined threats policy; total tyrany policy.

  • If a told a teacher at my high school that I liked to go target shooting with a gun they'd probably call the cops on me.

  • i hate how teachers teach students like crap. when i brought a lego car to school in 4th grade the teacher told me to throw it out. god fuck the world

  • in the 7th grade i got bored in health class and i started rolling a piece of paper up now bear with me it was a normal full sized sheet of notebook paper, and the teacher sent me to the office for "rolling a joint" in class. ive gone through that crap for 10 years. i finally stopped going to public school and im home schooled now because of this zero tolerance stupidity. and i barely see friends anymore. so FUCK YOU schools. liberal controlled police states.

  • We used to make little shooters out of ink pens (in the 70's) and use sticks as guns on the playground and it was seen as play, nothing else. I think the zero tolerance towards bullying is a total joke also, they might as well say;hey bullies, do whatever you want, the other person will get in trouble if they fight back.I've had to threaten my schools with litigation, with three different children over their telling me my kids can't defend themselves. The right of self-defense trumps their policy.

  • This really is just insanity. The teachers focus on this stupid crap and in the mean time do nothing about real issues like bullying (and I mean REAL bullying not throwing a spit wad). I was bullied as a kid and I've watched good friends of mine go through serious abuse and always trying to go to the teachers about it, but to no avail. All the while they expel kids for plastic guns and spit wads. Pathetic.

  • @KingsKnight7 This. I may still be in high school, so I wasn't part of the time, but from the way my parents tell it... ugh. You're so right about that.

  • I was suspended a little under a month ago for holding a paid of scissors away from another student and without looking at that student after the student had recently annoyed me. I was working on a project that involved the necessity of cutting paper and what not so it was not uncommon for students to have scissors. But the other student saw the scissors in my hand and knew he had annoyed me assumed I was trying to kill him. He began freaking out over a pair of miniature scissors.

  • Hahah id like to call this guy up for a talk with MY sons principal that dudes a dick

  • @Ebo9508 It gets even worse when it involves bullying.
