http://www.makeraw.com | This cereal may look swampy but it really starts your day on the right foot. I used to have a bad coffee craving every morning....coffee and something sugary sweet. So about a year ago I challenged myself to start a green smoothie drink in the morning for 30 days straight. The important part of the challenge was that I was not going to alter my morning coffee routine at all other than to wait at least an hour after my green drink to have my coffee and sweet.
Three days into my challenge my coffee craving went away. I continued on my challenge and found that my energy started to improve and I just generally started feeling much better.
Fast forward a year and I am pretty much still enjoying a green drink consistently although not every morning. For the past several months six actually, I've been eating sprouted seeds and goji berries with soy milk in the morning. I still have coffee very rarely but the point is I don't beat myself up for enjoying life.
Now to this cereal mixture. This combining the green drink with the seed cereal came about after I met a farmer at a wellness show in Vancouver. She told me she starts her day with a big bowl of apple chunks and a green smoothie poured over it with a sprinkle of sun flower seeds and pumpkin seeds. Bam! I knew I had a winner on my hands.
So, for the past 2 weeks I've been enjoying my seedola cereal with a green smoothie drink as my 'milk'. I love it!
Ingredients:
Seedola from Make Raw http://www.makeraw.com/
1 whole organic apple chopped into chunks
(green drink)
In a blender combine,
1 very ripe banana
2 tablespoons or more ground flax seed
handful of organic baby spinach
couple leaves of either kale, swiss chard or any dark leafy green stems removed
enough filtered water so the consistency is very liquid
1 or 2 soaked and pitted dates for added sweetness (If you don't have dates sweeten with your favorite sweetener, stevia, agave syrup, maple syrup, etc. just not table sugar)
Blend until smooth
Pour this over your seedola and apple chunks and enjoy!
Try adding cinnamon for a switch up
You can also switch up the greens. In fact you don't want to consume the same greens over and over. Give your body a break once in a while with variety.
Check out this green drink recipe that I posted a while back: http://www.fashionpeaceblog.com/fashion_peace/2009/10/goji-berry-green-smooth...
You don't have to have all of the ingredients..mostly the banana and greens and water will do you good.

Nexusnow1 seedily was a seed cereal i used to make regularly. It's made from soaked pumpkin seeds, soaked sun flower seeds and soaked walnuts. I add goji berries or dried blueberries for variety. And i dehydrate all of the seeds to bring back their crunch.
