@AxnReaxn I agree. People shouldnt critisize and act like the oil sands are a huge impact when they dont know what there talking about. I live near fort mac murray and without them local, provincial, and federal economy would be no where

What's sad is that people these days believe everything they hear. If you did any research, you would know that the largest oil sands operation mining the McMurray formation has occupied only one percent of one percent of the forest. That's 0.01%. Also, by law the land must be retuned to a state as good or better than it was undisturbed. Mining companies are required to put the cost of reclamation into a government trust BEFORE any mining commences so that no matter what happens, the cost of
