I think 20K is not that many miles for it to NOT take more.
They are pretty good till they reach near 60K

I have 2006 MPS, Blk Cherry, 20K miles and still going strong. I beat the crap out of it and it still wants to take more!

Australia will be getting the 2010 Mazda 3 with the 2.5 Litre from the Mazda 6.
This model Mazda 3 will be called an SP25, the outgoing Mazda 3 high engine spec was called an SP23 (2.3ltr).
Of course we also have the MPS 3 (Mazdaspeed 3), new 2010 version of that car will essentially have the same 2.3 DISI Turbo and is FWD Only.

Mazda 6 MPS or Mazdaspeed 6 has been very reliable, this car was much appreciated by Motoring Journalists (Jeremy Clarkson- Top Gear), unfortunately the car is no longer in production as the new Mazda 6 is now available.
Not sure if we will see a Turbo version, there will be a new 2010 2.5 Mazda 3 MPS or Mazdaspeed 3 though and an SP25 (2.5 litre 4 cylinder Direct Injection) variant.
