Nice, Very Quick for the power, its all about power to weight ratio.

Glanzas are always very good competition.

Man I miss this car. I fully forged it shortly before I sold it to a mate. It was last dyno'd at 235 @ the fly. A totally different game to how it was in this vid!

They are a lot of fun, but I don't regret moving on to my Rx7 :)

Must have been nice then!

People hear 235HP and think it can't be that fast, they don't realise how light they are. Most people don't seem to understand power to weight.

How much did this one weigh?

I love RX-7's but I hear the engines aren't the most reliable, hows yours been.

Yep, thats right! Only the smart ones know what theyre dealing with, the rest get a nasty suprise hehe. Mine was the standard 920 kg, but you can get them down to about 860 with some mods.

The Rx is brilliant, and overall they are very reliable. Its the engine that is the weakest link. With good maintenance though, most of them are arguably just as reliable as your average piston engine. They need rebuilding more often though, and use very big injectors as standard so they use a lot of fuel!

To Add, mines been rebuilt recently so theoretically should be good for 40-50k miles. No real problems yet, touch wood!

Its one of the cars I'd considered as my next car, I suppose if I get one thats just been rebuilt then I should be good.

I'll probably get a 240Z instead now though, hmmm - a 240Z with a 13B could be a first!

A rebuilt one I do recommend but if you do, make sure it has receipts from a reputable builder like hayward rotary.

240Zs are beautiful cars! A member of a local club has a stunning red one. looks like an oldskool ferrari :D
