introduction of hemigrammus bleheri in my tank. (Rummy Nose?)
At the end of the clip you can see how they seem to cling on the windows, kind of strange...

  • A couple of months later, I can say they school a lot less and take off in 2 or 3 groups often. They also just "hang around" a lot.

  • Hey heerscher,

    How big is your tank?

BTW this really inspired me to go with mass rummynose tetras for my own tank.

You set an example for how real schooling fish should be done!

  • Thanks :)

Tank is 3 meter, 10 feet i think.

There are 75 in it now, i think it can have some more. Today i will add some Discus, curious to see how that will influense the schooling behaviour, footage will follow :P

  • My guess is that the rummynoses will school a LOT tighter. They might become a snack for discus though. Adding to favorites.

  • Well, i hope not :)

I have some goldtetra's inthere aswell (couldn't catch them out) and they are smaller then the rummy noses, so i hope they get them instead. There are also a lot of endlers in it (poecilia wingei) also snack size :)
