elliott smith
Tomorrow, I'll feel fine
It's yesterday that took my breath away
Flying off the handle
Finally sweeping down the avenue
God's up in his heaven
And the the devil's on Bonnie Brae
But there seems to be no room for us

So choose your poison, it's up to you
I recommend you think about it long and hard
Because the woods can get thick quick inside
Dark and tangled and petrified
And you wandered through the endless night
And never see the light of day

Let's turn the record over
Your life's a pleasant valley
Moonlight drives and gardens in the sun
His shadow stays behind you
Graceful as a dancer in a ballet

  • I love how the clock hitting midnight at :45 syncs perfectly to the first beat/chord of the chorus. Intentional?

  • @filterguy2525 nope, glad you liked it :)

  • @mymayapapaya I sure did! I like these videos you've put up. I think you understand ES's music pretty well. I don't claim to know what ES likes or dislikes, but I think he would have liked these.

  • @filterguy2525 thanks, I realy appreciate that ♥

  • This is fantastic...great footage, great editing and great song choice. Why are your other videos just pictures of Elliott? Make more like this! You've added to the song.

  • Thanks! You made my day. :)

  • I think he named it exactly what he wanted to name it. There's plenty of songs like this.

  • amazing.

  • @AlternativeUses This might have something to do with his love of the beatles..........i think they only had 2 songs that the name of the song was not in the song...i think.

  • Is there a tab of this anywhere?

  • hate when people argue on these rarities. get a fucking life.. he's gone. and left us with alot of good noise. so shutup and listen.

  • there are plenty of elliott smith songs where the title of the song is contained within a verse. he's not known for cryptic titles at all

  • i love your comment...maybe because i feel the same....:-)
