Here's my 1980 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle with a freshly rebuilt AMC 360 out of an early 80's FSJ. The block is bored to .060 over and has an RV high performance cam. Edelbrock performer intake manifold and throttle body electronic fuel injection. The 4 inch Rancho suspension lift and 1.5 inch heavy duty shackle lift make room for 35 x 12.5 BFG Mudders on chrome American Racing Rims. Stock T176 tranny, CV driveshaft from Tom Woods, one piece Moser axel in the rear.

I still have some wiring in the cab to finish off from the EFI conversion and obviously the body of the Jeep is starting to show it's age, but this thing's a beast. To say it hauls with the new motor would be an understatement.

  • What size tires are you running? What lift and how much, too? ...if you don't mind sharing. Your Jeep looks great and I'm trying to get ideas for mine. Thanks!

  • @Noble36 I've got a 4 inch Rancho suspension lift and a 1.5 inch heavy duty shackle lift with 35 x 12.5 BFG Mudders. I bought the lift in 1999 ... I have no idea how much I paid for it 11 years ago.

  • Love the bumber sticker! "REAL MEN LOVE JESUS!!!!"

  • @thejeepman That really helps! Thanks. I've got 32inch tires on mine now, so I'm thinking about a 2.5" OME lift. But after seeing yours, I considering larger tires! Thanks again.

  • A 1984, 4 cylinder Jeep CJ............is'nt that a bit weak for city driving ? I'm under the impression I should opt for a 6 cylinder. Thanks.
