  • Since when did calling out the important sins become more important than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Too many who claim to follow Jesus have lost their way and forgotten the Good News!

  • Burden of proof:

    1-Prove that god exists

2-Prove that god said that homosexuality is immoral

3-Prove that what god says is true.

4-Prove that what god says even matters.

5-provide the extraordinary evidence for the above four claims.

6-Do so without using circular reasoning, ad hominems, arguments from ignorance (proving science wrong does not prove you right), shifting the burden of proof (I don't have to disprove anything), and without using the bible (that just makes more assumptions).

  • @SexyArcanine666 Can you prove that it is NOT true?

  • @SexyArcanine666

Seems like a typical atheistic response of trying to make God out to be some type of cosmic being that has to prove Himself "or else". Or it's your way of "dusting off" your sin by saying God is not real and that you can live how you please and not have to answer for anything you've done. You have to train yourself to think otherwise, or deny that He is real. We're all made with purpose, not just random chance like you want to believe.

  • @boc1953 I'm Agnostic... we agree on a lot. Your original comment was vague to me and could have gone the other way

  • @ERAUPRCWA I stand as a committed atheist! I think that is your position too? I speak out against religion in society because I can! Hope this clarifies my position...

  • @ERAUPRCW there are more poor people in the world than there are gay people and the bible talks about feeding the poor like x1000 more times than homosexuality so Tony Campolo campaign is about giving people a wakeup call to focusing on the more important stuff instead of wasting time accusing people of sin when we are all guilty of our own sin in our own ways.

The bible says that all sin is equal so being gay is just as bad as having religious pride.

Lots of hypocrite in the church these days

  • @ERAUPRCWA It is a sin in the bible but what Tony Campolo is trying to get across is that homosexuality is talked about like 2 times and feeding the poor is talked about around 2000 times but extremists only scream about anti homosexuality and they never talk about feeding the poor.

There is no man in the world that is without sin which is the point of the gospel that we need forgiveness which is why Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the punishment for those who would follow Him.

  • @boc1953 so where do you stand? I mean, you said it yourself, either you take the words from the bible in it's literal sense or you disregard... In it's original context, the bible says many things are sin, if we were to follow those things today, a lot of people would be dead right now in the name of religion.

  • @ChristOrder what's still sin? the bible never condemns homosexuality.

  • Apart from making effort to understand others who see same gender relationships differently from himself, Tony Compolo has admitted the possibility that he is mistaken in his belief that our Lord calls homosexuals to celebacy, since only our Lord can know these things for certain one way or another.
