The Alabama Rig Supernova

The Alabama Rig came out of nowhere and completely re-shaped bass fishing in one cosmic force, that was the FLW Tour Event on Lake Guntersville, won by Paul Elias. I was on Kentucky Lake getting ready for the FLW Everstart Championshp, 4 lakes downriver. This video is about my experiences with the Alabama Rig, Big Hammer swimbaits, and what I learned.

RCboy88 Are you saying that a crankbait with 6-9 hooks on it doesn't do as much damage? No fisheries biologist I know will tell you that the A-Rig is more fish harmful than any other lure. How about all the gut hooked fish that swallow a worm or lizard? Lot's of arguments against those to. It's up to fisherman to be ethical and responsible.

@mannsman what happens when someone uses a fresh water daisy chain with 5 soft plastic lizards and you have multiple gut hooked fish. Won't be able to ban one multi lure rig and not another.

Many people say to use a circle hook instead, it will help prevent a gut hook. I was wondering what happens if you have multiple fish on the line and the line snaps? Do they have to live together (lol)? Do they die?

@mannsman AMEN!!..outlawing the alabama rig for tournaments is outrageous!..every fish caught in a tournament is turned loose..if anything it should b outlawed for recreational anglers..cuz there the ones that will "fish out" lakes with it not tournament anglers..and its equally available to every angler so it is completely fair!
