A few facts about this training facility that may not be so obvious as you watch. Many of the supplies listed below were donated and we would like to thank all of those people who gave willingly to see this project through to completion and to the State Parks crew whose dedication, commitment and expertise were instrumental in building this awesome facility.
This facility was built in Ocotillo Wells under the supervision of Kathy Dolinar and the cooperation of many within California State Parks, Tierra Del Sol and WE Rock.
• 550 tons of rocks and boulders
• 400 yards of Shotcrete (Shotcrete describes spraying concrete or mortar with either a dry or wet mix process, in this case it was wet)
• 100 earth mover tires
• 125 sections (lengths) of concrete conduit ranging from 18" to 54" diameter
• 40 logs (big logs)
• 2000 feet of rebar
• 2000 lineal feet of chain link fencing
• 100 one ton landscaping blocks
• 100 two ton landscaping blocks
• 2500 man hours of blood, sweat and a few cheers
It is amazing what a few motivated and passionate people can accomplish and Tierra Del Sol is thankful for all the years of your support in coming to and participating in our annual Desert Safari. This training facility is but one of the many activities the club participates in and special thanks to the team at W.E. Rock.

It is about 23 miles east of Borrego Springs off of S22. If you go out there turn right just before Huff Road. You cannot miss it and can see if from the S22 after you go down the hill
