@Motherfans4life. Bruce left them in 1972 to do his solo and other projects. He rejoined in 1979.

What a great song. I was a freshman in college in 1969. I saw "The Beach Boys" 3 times live. This was such a beautiful ballad. Carl sang the lead. The best harmonic rock group of all time. The Wilson brothers, Brian, Dennis, and Carl, will never be replaced. Not even by "Jan and Dean".
