  • ive always said this. michael shure is well-read and eloquent, but belongs on MSNBC.

  • Forget it, I'm voting for Colbert, at least then my vote will send a message, voting for either of the two party nominees will mean no change whatsoever.

  • I was looking for a reason to vote for Obama again. God knows I wasn't going to vote republican but maybe saving the Supreme Court is reason enough to put him back in office.

  • @goonerLIFE1 Yeah, he sounds a little bit like Lawrence O'Donnell.

  • @meltycheese oh please, "they will not support SOPA". Thats bs. If anything it makes it more likely he'd have signed it or likely will agree to ACTA. Really, if you actually pay attention to what Obama has done compared to his promises: End Gitmo? Nope, . End Bush tax cuts? Nope, still up. End Iraq? Eventually. Wipe out private Health care? Nope. was the "you can be detained indefinitely" thing supposed to be a threat? Am I gonna be arrested for spreading undesirable opinions?

  • @jumar1281 He pretty much lost my vote years ago when he broke his promise to shut down Gitmo. However, I gotta admit a future with President Romney would be ten times scarier, so if it's down to that I'd vote Obama just to keep Romney out. Also, who is Cynthia McKinney? I'm not familiar with her, but I'm interested in looking her up. What platform does she run under?

  • The 'methodology' relied upon in that study ("in favor of a defendant on a criminal procedure case, that vote is considered "liberal." If the justice votes against the plaintiff in a civil rights case, the vote is considered "conservative.") looks about right for 'The Young Turks' when it comes to reporting on the judiciary... I'm sure this 'Michael Shure' fellow is quite the 'Constitutional' scholar though... law review... prestigious clerkship... etc.

  • Sorry, I meant this in response to the video.

  • Actually, from what I can tell, the lines between the republican and democratic parties have blurred so much, your argument may no longer be relevant.

  • Voting Obama and Ganna help him clean up congress
