My Grandmother's grandfather clock (giggle) wasn't chiming properly. After fixing it, I noticed the bottom hammer was sticking slightly. Sounded okay but didn't look smooth, and could lead to problems. I found the area that had gummed up and cleaned out the sticky spot with a tissue. All better!

Gosh, I love the sound of that clock. Brings back happy childhood memories.

  • No idea why the sound is off. I'll have to re-encode the video and upload it again, I guess.

  • Sounds like you might have to adjust the beat of the clock. The tick is not even. You can do so by adusting the verge assembly slightly. (The part that rocks over the escapement wheel) (Gear with the sharp teeth)

  • What kind of clock is this?
