  • what is your Si-Fu's English name? Maybe we know him, most instructors are listed on ShaoLin Temple books and we can find him. Most of the traditional ShaoLin forms are this speed and power. The modern competition WuShu forms are also good, just shouldn't be mixed with ShaoLin movement. If you have a good modern competition teacher he should be able to tell all of the martial applications and techniques so that your form doesn't look like you are just doing a gymnastic floor routine! • This is not my Shi fu, however this msters name is Shi Yong Zhi. You will not find him in Song Shu Fan's books on Shaolin Gong Fu, however you will find him in many modern publications, i.e Justin Guariglia's: 'Shaolin Temple of Zen'.

  • is this the 7 star fist a.k.a cannon fist?

  • This is Seven Star Fist, 七 星 拳, Cannon Fist is a lot different and a lot longer too.

    Peace, Love and Happiness...

  • i have a question is 7 star fist a form by itself or is it also a style of kung fu

  • Qi Xing Quan, is a cery distinctive form within the Shaolin Temple system, the footwork of the from resembles the bei dou qi xing (Big Dipper Constellation).

Qi Xing Quan has it's own style compared to the other myraid of forms which are seen.

Hope this helps with your study.

  • this is my favorite traditional shaolin form

  • This master has some very powerful strikes. I wish I have that kind of balance. His Shaolin style is short and beautiful. If you can figure out the permutation from every single movements, you can have a compact form with many variations on techniques. Add water and watch the many techniques from every movements.
