Hi World! My name is Parasto and im currently living in Sweden. I can speak four different languages: Farsi, Swedish, English and some German. Soooo, with knowing that many languages, my American accent is pretty amazing right?

I spontaneously decided to make this video when i got home ( read: after arguing w/ my college buddies about this hahah).

Let me know what you guys think!!

I look like the grown up Renesmee Cullen? See for yourself! http://weheartit.com/entry/14911906/via/parastotaffazoli

  • your accent is great, but you seem to have trouble syncing your lips to your voice. that might throw some americans off.

  • I think the way you speak English is fine. Most american guys like the accents anyways, and your english is very easy to understand, no need for any accent,. :))

  • Your intonation is a little off. You don't sound American, but you don't have to because you aren't. The most important point is that your English is perfect.

  • keep the swedish accent....it's hot haha

  • your accent is great!

  • your fine i was born in america and i have trouble with some of our wordslol

  • Were you doing your accent the whole time?

I could tell you were from Scandinavia. (I probably couldn't tell from where though if you didn't say Sweden in the beginning) I feel like the area you should try to improve on are your U's and O's. I'm not a language coach so I can't tell you what to change your voice to, but I feel like that's what gave it away for me. Probably just de-emphasize those syllables and you'll be fine.

I also think you'll get better as you live in the country. No worries!

  • @cervezero11 Hell no, Minnesotans sound like Canadians. I should know, I live in Minnesota. The further north you go, the more Canadian it gets. ;) Mexicans just sound like Mexicans.

  • America has vastly different accents with in the country, so I don't know which one you were going for but you definitely don't sound American. I can understand you perfectly fine, so there's not need for improvement unless you want it.

  • If I can understand you, I actually prefer for you to keep your accent from your foreign country. I think it sounds better, and it actually impresses people here to sound foreign.

  • You definitely sound american!!!
