Canon EOS DIY wired remote

Followed this tutorial.
This can be done with a simple 2.5mm cable and something that conducts electricity, like a metal clip. I'm using an EOS 450D, but this should work with any Canon camera that uses 2.5mm.

Short-circuiting the two first rings activated the focus. Doing it with the first and the third activates the shutter. This probably works better with a good conducting object. I had to press the clip against the rings, or it wouldn't work.

Just as a tip, you can very nicely solder an old mouse to a cable like that. Using one button for focus, one button for shooting pictures :-) I've done this a while ago for some Konika Minolta camera i owned.

I got late on the coments , what can i say , just found what i was looking for very simple video on how to trigger the camera. thanks..by the way if tou have any old flash with 30v and higher, i have the circuit to bring it down with just 6 components to just 5.2v on the hot shoe save for new dslr. thanks again..
