The gadget in the video is a sensor controlled electric skateboard. When the rider leans forward, the board accelerates and when the rider leans back the board decelerates to a stop. The board is completely hands free. In the video, the board is hooked up to a power supply, but a battery pack can be used. The Seg-Board was designed and manufactured by four Carnegie Mellon University mechanical engineering students.

the only question is were the hell are you gona find a cord long enough to ride it around or a wireless battery anyway as soon as you get tired of ride in the same place just contact me i buid reliable gas skateboards no missing screws no speed woobles no chain missalignment just a well tested gasskateboard that it goes uphill

Jollo. Do you think the long cord that has to be hooked up to a CPU and a power outlet? I bet you like that too dont you. A skate board is supposed to be simple. Its the whole point of riding one. Its like putting a motor on a surf board.

well, you can always take the motor thing out, change the trucks. cuz those arent the ones that came with the sk8,, so if he didnt dump em. he didnt break anything

yer well how about you get on that skateboard and try to carve down a hill with a peice of crp electric motor on it my guess is it wont work that well

Wow that amazing I have never seen a sensor board before.. Are there plans to take this invention to market and is a Patent secured?.... My company Skate Electic offers our customers the lastest boards (new Lithium /brushless board out in 2 months) so I would be keen to know more.
