A student of Cortot and I listened to his recordings when I was in my teens and the realization came to me that he was a great master and highly unappreciated in his time. He knew and recorded all the works of Chopin. There is something in his playing that gives you that unique conception of they way Chopin needs that play in the rhythm with the control of the rubato.

This is a very beautiful piece, with the coming "storm or bees or agitation, aggravation whatever" in the middle...and then comes the sun again! Brailowsky was a great pianist indeed, and...THANK YOU CHOPIN!
