Yup, it is a fucking joke. I spent over 3 years there working as a contractor. Strictly for the money, but the bad part is that one has to work with a bunch of wannabes. Guys never in the military, but suddenly at middle age they want to be GI fucking Joe. It's hilarious. Very profitable but strange experience working around those idiots.
@orangeusmc Yeah, well all of those guys have been in the military before. A private contractor will not hire security guards/executive protection without previous experience. I know a lot of guys in the Marine Corps who can't shoot to save their life's (just a bunch of immature jackasses). They get payed a lot because when they get in a fire fight, they don't have a whole military to back them up, they just have the 2 or 3 guys with them.
What a fucking joke... I don't think I've ever seen such a waste of tax payer dollars. I'm not going to lie, I'm going to apply for a contract with Dyncorps or a similar service once I leave the Marine Corps but I'm a very qualified individual. I've seen more tactical employment from fatties playing airsoft wars in the civilian sector. This is nothing short of sad and pathetic. A bunch of fat ass and old fucks who have no place there acting like cowboys.
Uhm.... No offense, but I think I've seen it all in Police Work. 12 years at a major PD and contract work with Dyn and BW in Iraq since 06, yeah I've been there and done that. The Civpol mission, IPA......was a joke. You get a bunch of fat cops from a 3 man Dept, padding their resumes and saying they did this and that. Good luck.....
@desertsnake1991 Well Snake, I was on Dyns Civpol Mission in Mosul at FOB Diamondback back in 06-07. Overall it was a cool gig. Honestly, these guys look like a bunch of Admin dudes who got a range day, charged up their cameras and shot off a few rounds downrange. I guess Dyn did away with the physical fitness requirements, because I can't imagine anyone in this video in a Police uniform. Looks like they have one hell of a DFAC in Afghanistan.
