Thanks for the explanation!
Amtrak still needs to advertise more. Amtrak needs better lobbyists in DC. If the passenger rail industry was subsidized like air travel, then we'd all be taking vacations on luxurious next-generation Pullman-style rolling stock with modern amenities.

@zippyman818 The drag alrm is designed with brake away pieces of plastic that when broken, alert engineers and conductors that a piece of running equipment is dragging. For example if a electrical cable for the air conditioning were to beome defect and one end is dragging, it would knock off one of the censors and it would relay a red signal to the engineer and conductor.

amtrak you guys should do a video about the amtrak engineers give people more info about what the engineer does for amtrak and how important it is about engineers safety and what the functions do on the engines like the genesis engines

Nice! The repainted locomotives and overhauled cars look great!

Probably the drag alarm was set off with track based detectors when it sends something being dragged under the train's cars. It could be a tree branch. It be one of the hoses connecting the train cars. It could be other things. It may not besafe to continue moving with something dragging which is why the train stopped

your chyron's audio should be pulled down a little. There's also nearly twenty seconds of black at the head.
I also would break this video into individual subjects, such as "painting" or "wifi"
Otherwise it looks too much like an internal corporate video…

Great video! I just rode the Sunset Limited and Coastal Startlight. It's great to see the behind the scenes.
Amtrak needs more advertising, advertising, advertising. I ride the NE Corridor all of the time and among savvy travelers, we all agree, "In only a few minutes after the train pulls in you can be on your way home. You can't do that at an airport."
Hey, what's the "drag alarm." Our train stopped within sight of Johns Hopkins in Baltimore while the crew investigated a warning from the drag alarm. It sounds rather ominious. The train was very full.
