Ink Spots - In A Shanty In Old Shanty Town (Stereo Version)

"In A Shanty in Old Shanty Town" was written by Ira Schuster and Jack Little with lyrics by Joe Young and published in 1932. That same year Ted Lewis used the song in a film called "The Crooner". Perhaps the most popular version of the song was recorded by the Johnny Long Band in 1946 which became a millon-seller for that group. The song has since been recorded by many including The Ink Spots who sang the tune using their typical formula beginning with a guitar riff, followed by the tenor singing the song in full and then the bass voice speaking the words of at least the first half of the song.
