Polycarbonate vs. Acrylic that is the question!

In this tip of the week, Kyle Bradshaw of Cruiser Customizing talks with Paul Gomez of National Cycle about the characteristics of polycarbonate and acrylic windshields. National Cycle believes that polycarbonate is the best material available for motorcycle windshields.

Polycarbonate

High Quality
Crystal Clear Optics
Scratch Resistant
Durable yet Flexible
Very formable

Acrylic

Inexpensive
Brittle
Susceptible to scratching
Not very formable
The majority of aftermarket windshields are acrylic, which offers a lower price point, but opens you up to several risks.
