FF6 SCC Cyan vs. Kefka

And now the conclusion of this SCC, the fight against the best videogame vilain in the entire Final Fantasy series. (Yeah, you heard me right.)

I actually feel kind of bad about killing someone so awesome, but let's not go over that.

This fight is rough, but surprisingly, his ultimate attack isnt what you have to look out for.
It's his counterattacks.
Now for some reason, when he JUST ATTACKED he doesnt seems to counterattack, so this is a good time to unleash your attacks, and even then, if you're not attacking at that time, he might not counterattack anyways, it all seems pretty random.

In phase 1 his counterattack is Havoc Wing which does roughly 2000, but in his next phase, (The one where he starts using Goner) he can counterattack with Overdrive (Thankfully he never did for me.) which hits for around 3000+.

Overall i think actually getting past Tier 3 was the hardest part.

This SCC is over and successful, and Final Fantasy 6 is definitely a classic and one of the best Final Fantasy games out there.

About the counterattacks: He only uses them when he's below half HP and you're only safe in the Goner phase, so it isn't random. It's probably useless to you now, but whatever.

If you decide to do that FF7 SCC, are you going to use Cloud like everyone else or be "original" and use another character?

I dont like Cloud much or care for him, i'm leaning towards Cid since he's my favorite character in the game, plus that means i get to skip doing a SCC in Midgar, which i frankly hate and want to get through quickly. (Other characters can do that too, but yeah, you get what i mean.)

I'm also thinking of adding extra difficulty modes like did in this one with the 'No espers' rule.

I'm definitely going for 'No materia' in FF7 and maybe some other stuff tacked onto it, any suggestions?

That was beautiful. I love in the end when Kefka uses Goner as Cyan is charging his SwordTech, like they're having some sort of heavenly samurai duel.

Are you going to do any other SCCs next?

Probably, i'm still thinking if i'll do FF7 or not, but i definitely want to do FF8 as i never finished it before. (Since FF8 is well.. Let's be honest, not that great, but doing it SCC will be much more amusing.)

I also have a lot of games i need to catch up with on my consoles so the SCC's might wait... Or not, guess it will depend on how i feel. =P

There is no character more fitting to fight Kefka. Forget what people say Cyan(Or Hanz as I called him), is a great character :)
